I had such a great time meeting Parsley. She is the official greeter at Bailey’s Books here in St. Albert. She might be small, but Parsley has a big personality and an even bigger presence. You definitely don’t go unnoticed when you walk through the door. After giving you a cheerful, tail-wagging welcome, she trots right back to her post behind the counter, like the little boss she is.

I absolutely love a dog-friendly business. There’s something special about walking into a place where pets are at "work". Taking your best friend to work is such an amazing gift. I used to bring Molly to my retail studio way back in the day. Of course, not during pet sessions, but she was always there for everything else, my quiet little sidekick.

Supporting small, local businesses like Bailey’s is something I try to be intentional about. Whether it’s buying a new previously loved  book or finding a thoughtful gift, shopping local keeps our communities vibrant and personal. And when those spaces "managed" by a dog? Even better. It’s just one more reason to visit and stay awhile.
