Breed of the Month
Calling Edmonton and area dogs!
It is no secret that I love animals, and capturing their personalities through photography is my passion. That is why I created the Breed of the Month project, a way to celebrate and experience unique breeds right here in the Greater Edmonton area.
Each month, I will select a different breed to receive a complimentary on-location or studio pet photography session, along with a 5×7 matted print and a $250 print credit for a total value of $400.
This is a personal passion project inspired by my desire to photograph breeds I have never had the opportunity to work with before or have only encountered once or twice in my 26 years as a professional photographer. Some of the breeds I have in mind are quite rare in Alberta, and I know there is a chance I may not receive submissions for every one. But that is part of the adventure, and I cannot wait to see who steps in front of my lens.

How It Works
If you see your pet’s breed pop up, simply sign them up for a chance to win! Each month, one lucky pet will receive a free one-hour on-location or studio photography session anywhere in the St. Albert area. Sessions can include other household pets and their people.
The winner will also receive a matted 5×7 print and a $250 credit toward additional prints or a digital collection.
Important Details
- Applications must be submitted by midnight on the last day of the month.
- The winner will be selected and contacted during the first week of the following month. The winner will be notified by me via email. There won't be a public announcement. The winner is chosen by putting the names in a bowl and drawing one out. The good old fashioned way!
- On the first of each month, the featured breed will be announced.

Contest Details
The contest prize includes a studio or on-location photography session, one matted 5×7 print, and a $250 credit toward additional printed products or digital collections.
Please note:
- The prize does not include prints or digital files beyond what is listed above.
- It cannot be combined with any other gift voucher, certificate, promotion, discount, or special offer.
- The prize must be used within three months of winning.
- It is non-transferable and cannot be applied to any other package or promotion.
- Product credit is not redeemable for cash.
- If the winner wishes to purchase additional prints or artwork beyond the included credit, standard pricing will apply. Pricing details can be found under the Investment section of this website.
- Sessions will take place in or around St. Albert.
